guava

Esmeralda Santiago uses many sensory words to enrich her writing. Santiago

helps us understand how a guava taste. She says, that the skin is thick, firm, and sweat.

''the most delicious part of the guava surrounds the tiny seeds''. She can describe the

guava while eating it. They are large and juicy, almost seedless.

Esmeralda tells us how it looks and does describe it. ''It feels familiar bumpy and

firm, when the guava is not quite ripe; the skin is still a dark green''. Its heart is bright pink

and almost solid with seeds.

Esmeralda talks about how the guava sounds and the smell sensation. When

Esmeralda smells them she can imagine what's inside, she smells it and imagines a pale

pink center, the seeds tightly embedded in the flesh. Everyone can hear the skin, meat, and

seeds crushing inside your head. When enjoying them have another and another, enjoying

them crunchy sounds of the unripe center. She talks about eating her last one she didn't

want t eat it because she would lose the smell.

Esmeralda Santiago like any other person that likes guavas and have been

eating them for a long time, can talk and describe them their own way Esmeralda can

describe a guava with visual image, smell, and sound. When Esmeralda smells a guava, s

he talks about the guava being part of her child hood but then she rather walk away from

them and towards the apples and pears, but just criticizes them.

my party

An important tradition my family celebrates from centuries ago and almost every Latin American likes to celebrate, is the catholic baptism. This happens when a new family member is born and is ready for some out side air and ready to look nice for a party. The whole family has to go to church well showered, well dressed and organised, o and with the baby, the baby has to have his parents and god perents holding him wile the priest announses his baptism, then he has to pour some kind of really cold water from a gold tray on to the baby's head, everthing stays quiet for a minuet or two and then the church part done, then everone from the church have to go to the party, not only cause its a party and people need to be there but the church is early in the morning and people are starving and they need to be at that party for the food. Getting tired and agsausted for one hour at church and then realising that there will be food waiting for you at home kind of makes you feel way better. Then all the family coming in sitting down, kind of not paying much attention at anything just chiling waiting for the food to come from the helpers, cant tell what they are serving from the seet but then breathing in it makes you kind of despret but can describe

the jungle

It was in 1906 when the immigrants were living the real life ''jungle'' or like the film

''EL NORTE'', happened a lot before, until now all of these bad things and immigrant stories

are still happening. Each time that stories like these come out people notice them and that's

why laws change, thanks to the books and films. Just as in ''EL NORTE'', immigrants suffer

to get to U.S the same as when they are here. '' Immigrants are just a pair of working

arms''.

Enrique, from ''EL NORTE'', is an immigrant just like Jurgis from THE JUNGLE, they

are both escaping from suffering in their native countries. They have come to America to

work and survive. Jurgis and Enrique are very hard workers ''Jurgis was confident of his

ability to get work for him self unassisted by any one'', [The jungle pg. 32]. As Enrique

arrives to America he gets work immediately, at a restaurant. Enrique came to America

because he wanted be happy with his sister and fit in some were because they couldn't in

his country, such as Jurgis came to America with his beonce and wanted to marry her but

they couldn't be happy at all and realized living in America isn't easy as they had

thought.

Ona is a smart young lady from The Jungle, back in Lithuania she knew how to read

write, just like ''Rosa'' from ''EL NORTE'', she is an also smart lady that is also comes to

America, doesn't know English but comes up with the idea of going to school and taking her

brother Enrique with her. Ona is working independently for her family just as Rosa is, but

their immigrant work is all about physical strength. When Rosa and Enrique have to cross

the border they have to sacrifice something important witch is their mother's necklace, they

have to sell it to pay the coyote, it is kind of like when Ona had to do when her boss made

her do prostitution, but she was just doing it for her family.

''Marija'' is from THE JUNGLE, she has faith in hard work and believes that people

can achieve success through their own efforts, just like ''Nacha'' when she is trying to

help Rosa she knows that she will do good in any work that shell get. Nacha is a hard

worker she like other immigrants know that if they don't want problems in America, they

have to work. So when ''Nacha'' and ''Rosa'' or looking for a job they have to say that they

know everything, making immigrants look like all they do is work, poor Marija that's all about

her too, she couldn't even married neither!!

GRAPES OF WRATH

The title "Grapes of Wrath", What does it mean?, may mean that it sucks, or may tell may tell that it is just about fruits, but it is better to judge a book buy it cover, to find out what lessons we be taught in this special book, that even if it has a funny title; From the second verse of Julia word Howe abolition song. One of the number one American of American classics. " Grapes of Wrath", written by John Steinbeck, when he wrote this book he had no inkling that it would attain such widespread recognition, through he did have hopes for its effectiveness.

What affects did the "Dust Bowl migration" of 1930's, cause?; a lot of families affected do to the migration, homes were destroyed, so people had to leave and by force. One of those families were The Joaas, from Oklahoma farm, who are driven off their homestead and forced to travel west to the promised land of California.

Tom Joad, a man not yet thirty hitches a ride with a truck driver, he was just released from McAlester prison, where he served four years for murdering a man during a fight, when he just got back to the Joad's house he knew that they were evicted and they had to leave. Tom then finds the rest of his family staying with uncle John.

The Joads plan to go to California for the work. While the journey, the Joads lose two members. When They reach California and stay at the first camp they are found in  very horrible conditions, so they leave because there was police men. At the next camp officers try to come and make fights so they can close it up, Ma tries to hide from them.

From their trails and their repeated collisions against the lard realities of this new American Steinbeck creates a drama that is intensely human yet majestic in its scale and moral vision, tragic but ultimately stirring in its insistence on human dignity.

MY FIRST LOVE

I always knew that love would come find me someday
but never did I know that it would be you who was headed my way
you caught me off guard and took me by surprise
but you simply captivated me, the same way you do when I look into your eyeS
It's true that every good and perfect gift is from above
you were presented to me as a beautifully packaged gift full of humor, talent, intelligence, beauty and love
"it isn't finding the perfect person but learning to see an imperfect person perfectly"
we all have our flaws but when I view you through my eyes, perfection is all I see
From when you laugh to when you're upset, I still love the little things you do
especially hearing you laugh and seeing your nose wrinkle the same way mine does too
coming into this relationship has been hard at times but we've made it through
I know as long as we're on this journey together, there's nothing that we can't do.
Sometimes I wonder if what we have is too good to be true
too scared to get my heart broken and scared of the thought of losing you
but in the end, I trust in the author and perfecter of what I believe
because what we ask for in Him, we in return shall receive
Where your treasure is, your heart will be also" is how the saying goes
I may not know what tomorrow may bring, for God is the only one who knows
the one thing I do know is that you are my one and only
a treasure in my heart that I want to devote my whole life to completely

THE CHOCOLATE WAR ESSAY

The Chocolate War, the story about school boys and affects of adolescence and were it all connect with the selling of chocolate witch happens each year at Trinity. For self  dramatization and tendency to be insufferably smug. The selling of chocolates started with Brother Leon, goads his students into turning the selling of chocolates into an annual fund-raising.
The books author is "Robert Cormier", and the film was directed by "Keith Gordon", each of the stories have their own visual of interest, in the film the characters seem keeping it as dark slow-paced and ponderous as in the book.

It all takes place at "Trinity", the school is dominated by secret society called "The Viguals" a group that meets to conduct solemn inquisitions into their classmates' behavior, were the good and evil begins. The force for superiority over one another. The power is between two characters, Archie and Brother Leon, they will stop at nothing to have what they want which the power over the school.

The main character of "The Chocolate War" is Jerry, a good person, like another character named Goober, he is like the only friend that Jerry has. Jerry had just lost his mom last spring, and is a struggle by messing with the wrong people at school, so the Virgils want to make him pay, all because jerry always refuses to selling chocolates, all Jerry wanted to do was to play football. Archie is the main evil guy of this story, he has a struggle of being the assigner of the Virgils, and is getting annoyed by Bother       Leon and Carter, with Carter because he is the president of the Virgils and is being bossy.

There are really as twice as more people on the evil side, but all the evil wants is the victory, for them it didn't matter how to accomplish. So when there had to be a fight, it would be in an actual ring, were Jerry and Janza get it on, no body really tries to stop them everybody is ready to watch. On the book Jerry gets so hurt that has to go to the hospital but on the film, Jerry actually wins the boxing match vs Archie, and Archie is who really gets beaten down. When the chocolate read people know that this is not only a good and

The passage JULIUS CAESER is about emotion appeal. Is peck to the readers emotions such as sympathy fear and hope through out its end same start of the scenes, the role was "THUNDER AND LIGHTNING"So that suppose to be bad and its connected to to the readers emotions if a fear of darkness, of something bad happen. Also the interpretation of the word, how spoken by Julius Caeser said "Nor heaven nor earth have been a peace to night" It describes the thunder and the world describes  the darkness of the people, the evil, something really bad. In the passage its pretty much about how Caeser found out what his friends thought about him, he would hold too much power, and it would over through and the plan they were making to kill him.

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare

He is arguably the most famous writer of the English language, known for both his plays and sonnetsThough there is known much about Shakespeare's life, there is still a debate because of incomplete evidence, the following essay consolidates he most widely accepted facts of Shakespeare's life and career.

In the mid sixteenth century, Shakespeare's father, John Shakespeare, moved to the idyllic town of Stratford upon Avon.He then became a land owner, money lender, glove-maker, and dealer of wool and agricultural goods. In 1557, he married Mary Arden.
During John's time he took advantage of the changes of more freedoms and luxuries, so he became a member of Stratford Council in 1557.In1567, he became bailiff the highest elected Stratford and equivalent of a modern day mayor.

Town records indicate that William Shakespeare was John and Mary's third child .His birth is unregistered, but legend pins it on April 23, 1564, possibly because he died on the same day 52 years later .Not much is known about Shakespeare's child hood, although it is assumed that he attended to the local grammar school .It was staffed by Oxford education.

Shakespeare did not attend university, which was not at all unusual for that time. University education was reserved only for wealthy sons of the elite, mostly for the ones that wanted to be clergymen. His early plays, in particular, draw on the works Seneca and Plautus. Shakespeare's formal education was the wealth of general knowledge he exhibits his work. His vocabulary exceeds that's of any other English writer of his time by a wide margin.

In 1852 at the age of eighteen, Shakespeare married twenty six year old Anne Hathaway. Their first daughter Susana, was not baptized until six months later. In 1589, Anne bore twins, baptized Hamnet and Judith Shakespeare. Hamnet  died at the age of eleven, by that time William was already a successful playwright. Around 1589 Shakespeare wrote Henry VI, part one which is his first play, he moved to London, where he pursued a career as a playwright and actor.

With Richard III, Henry VI, The Comedy of Errors, and Titus Andronicus under his belt , Shakespeare was a popular playwright by 1590.When Shakespeare made The Rape of Lucrece  he also made a mark as a poet.
